Who has not heard at least once a default sound that Windows uses to announce when the system user the ability to access it? Surely it is one of the most popular sounds in the world and many people appreciate it while it is irritating for other: all tastes are tastes!

If you belong to the second category have already taken steps to replace the default with a sound pleasing to you, you have done tweaking the different settings available in the Control Panel.

If it’s been a long time that operation you’ve probably forgotten the procedure but no matter, today we present a program that makes the operation more simple and immediate, his name isĀ  Startup Sound Changer, a small software free and usable only on Windows Vista 7.

Startup Sound Changer

With Startup Sound Changer can change the startup sound of the two Windows operating systems in three easy steps:

  • Start Startup Sound Changer
  • click Replace
  • choose the new .wav files

The sound can also be played directly by clicking on Play.
If you want to restore the default sound click Restore always attached to panel of Startup Sound Changer.

Before proceeding to use the Startup Sound Changer you upload new audio files in the Windows> Media and you must use only files .wav format.
Please note that to run properly, Startup Sound Changer must be started with Administrator Privileges.
