Seems to have been fixed for Friday, Aug. 5 the release of Android 7.0, or Android Nougat, as the network has decreed should be called. The source would be a tweet published during the weekend by Evan Blass, a “leaker” generally considered reliable.
Android 7 for many but not for all
How many experts want to emphasize in these hours, the release of a version does not coincide with the availability to the consumer, in fact, usually after the release still spend a few months before the mobile device manufacturers and carriers adopt the new release. It is necessary that the operating system is tested on all devices before the rollout takes place.
The new operating system, in the space of a few days, should concern the latest from Google smartphone, namely the Nexus 6P, 5X and 6, in addition to the Pixel C. As for the other manufacturers, such as LG, HTC, Sony, Xiaomi and Huawei, will be necessary to wait until the new version is adapted to the different models. Even Samsung, which in a few hours will present the new Galaxy Note 7 will need at least a few weeks to provide its users with some much-needed upgrade.
LG V20 could be the first smartphone built with nougat
Probably, this is the rumor circulating in these hours, the first device marketed carrying Android Nougat should be the next LG V20, whose launch is expected next September (read our article here).
It’s the same LG that speaks of features such Doze, for energy savings, better graphics for gaming or yet Direct Reply to directly use the notification panel to respond to incoming messages.
As for the other devices, it is known that Android Nougat will turn on all devices that already support the beta.
This means that some older devices can not be upgraded.
For sure it will remain excluded the Nexus 5. The update will be applied by Nexus 6 onwards.
